Celebrating 18 months in business

Celebrating 18 months in business

When the first buds of new growth appear on the branches of trees, you know spring is just around the corner. The days get longer, the sun wakes you up a bit earlier in the mornings, you start digging around in your cupboard for shirts that have shorter sleeves. And maybe – just maybe – you have a little more energy every day, a little more passion and more of a spring in your step. Could it be that spring is really here?

Well, almost. And that’s why we’re making the theme of this newsletter both spring and gratitude. Spring is a time of new things and we’d like to celebrate some of the new things we’ve been doing lately. Some very exciting news is that FWD Consult has had its first successful verification on 23 June 2015, where 65 learners’ portfolios of evidence were verified and endorsed by INSETA. We want to say a big thank you to Alcari Learning Centre for their help and support. It was not an easy process at all, but we are very proud of our learners and will soon be hosting a special champagne breakfast to award them their certificates.

Another reason to be grateful is that FWD Consult is celebrating 18 months of being in business. Thank you to everyone who has helped make our dream a reality – there are so many people in the F&I industry who have shaped us and encouraged us along a journey that has not always been easy. There have been times we felt like giving up, but in the great “sink or swim” tradition, we have soldiered on and we believe our efforts are now starting to bear fruit.

In the past few weeks, we have spent some time working out our vision, mission statement and values and that forced us to examine what it is that we do at FWD Consult and what we would still like to achieve. We have made it one of our primary goals in the months ahead to gain our own INSETA accreditation that will endorse our unique approach to blended learning. We believe this will help grow our business, although we still want to stay true to ourselves by being small and focused.

We want to say well done to FWD Consult director Elmarie Aberdein who has recently completed her licentiate and is now a professional membership of the Insurance Institute of South Africa. And congratulations also go to Marthie Van Wyk, one of our faciliators, who has passed her Level 1 Regulatory Examination for Key Individuals (RE1). So it’s clear that lifelong learning is something we practise as well as preach!

Spring is a great time for starting something new and getting it done before the end of the year. With this in mind, we’re offering some amazing spring specials at discounted prices to help motivate all our “old” learners to finish their qualifications.
